چکیده
Organic-rich lacustrine shales in the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation with thermal maturity mainly oil window are main shale and gas system strata of Ordos Basin, China. Pore systems important for storage transfer gas. The objectives this study to identify pore types structures investigate controlling factors types, structures, total porosities Shale. In study, organic-rich mudstones, mudstones siltstone interlayers, siltstone, sandstones were selected from 15 wells southern Basin. X-ray diffraction, pyrolysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), low-pressure nitrogen adsorption analysis, helium porosimetry conducted mineral compositions, porosities, factors. Siltstone sandstone interlayers heterogeneously developed petrology, composition, geochemistry, type, structure, porosity different those mudstones. usually have more quartz feldspars, greater detrital grain sizes, relatively better sorting but lower clay minerals, organic carbon (TOC), amount free liquid hydrocarbons values (S1), residual (S2), compared Interparticle (interP), intraparticle (intraP) pores, pores (OPs) both siltstones OPs observed samples (e.g., 0.5–0.85%). inorganic size is than that OPs. Nanometer-Scale Pore Characteristics of Lacustrine Shale, Songliao Basin, NE China
In shale, liquid hydrocarbons are accumulated mainly in nanometer-scale pores or fractures, so the pore types and PSDs (pore size distributions) play a major role in the shale oil occurrence (free or absorbed state), amount of oil, and flow features. The pore types and PSDs of marine shale have been well studied; however, research on lacustrine shale is rare, especially for shale in the oil gen...
متن کاملFormation Conditions and Sedimentary Characteristics of a Triassic Shallow Water Braided Delta in the Yanchang Formation, Southwest Ordos Basin, China
A large, shallow braided river delta sedimentary system developed in the Yanchang Formation during the Triassic in the southwest of the Ordos basin. In this braided delta system, abundant oil and gas resources have been observed, and the area is a hotspot for oil and gas resource exploration. Through extensive field work on outcrops and cores and analyses of geophysical data, it was determined ...
متن کاملAn Identified Method for Lacustrine Shale Gas Reservoir Lithofacies Using Logs: A Case Study for No. 7 Section in Yanchang Formation in Ordos Basin
Unconventional reservoirs are keys to oil and gas exploration and development, especially shale gas reservoirs. Discriminated shale gas reservoir lithofacies are, in particular, a primary problem in shale gas reservoir engineering. The mineral composition will affect both absorbed and free gas contents, therefore their identification is important. The mineral composition is one part of lithofac...
متن کاملGeochemical Characteristics and Origins of the Crude Oil of Triassic Yanchang Formation in Southwestern Yishan Slope, Ordos Basin
Biomarker compounds that derived from early living organisms play an important role in oil and gas geochemistry and exploration since they can record the diagenetic evolution of the parent materials of crude oil and reflect the organic geochemical characteristics of crude oil and source rocks. To offer scientific basis for oil exploration and exploitation for study area, gas chromatography-mass...
متن کاملThe Description of Shale Reservoir Pore Structure Based on Method of Moments Estimation
Shale has been considered as good gas reservoir due to its abundant interior nanoscale pores. Thus, the study of the pore structure of shale is of great significance for the evaluation and development of shale oil and gas. To date, the most widely used approaches for studying the shale pore structure include image analysis, radiation and fluid invasion methods. The detailed pore structures can ...
